The anti-corrosion coating project for the embankments along the Suzhou River and the Huangpu River—a landmark infrastructure project of the Shanghai World Expo—has recently completed its 10-year performance monitoring. Monitoring data confirms that the surface coating on these embankments, which are subjected to daily tidal fluctuations, high levels of salt spray and a hot, humid environment, has retained its original performance to this day, setting a new global benchmark for ‘permanent protection’ in hydraulic engineering.

In 2019, a sulphur tank operating at high temperatures within the Storage and Transportation Department of Shanghai Petrochemical suffered severe corrosion and damage. With the tank operating year-round at temperatures as high as 135–165°C, the traditional protective coating had peeled away over large areas, putting the tank’s protective system at risk of failure. To prevent safety incidents and ensure uninterrupted production, the client initiated an emergency repair project and, for the first time, adopted the Keeper Materials nano-repair material system.
